Tamagawa Fireworks

On August 21, we went to the Tamagawa Fireworks Festival with my good friend Leon Tsunehiro Yu-Tsu Tai and a huge group of friends.  The fireworks show was spectacular, the weather wonderful, food and drinking refreshing, and company generous and enjoyable.

Photographing fireworks is difficult – the lighting is poor, of course, and capturing intensely bright points of burning light is frequently luck.  Still, it is possible to capture decent images, even with less than ideal equipment.

I think these turned out well – they’ve brought a bunch of memories back for our family!  The images of the Fujisan-shaped Niagara fireworks and the video are our favorites…
